This morning I put the roof to sleep for the winter: cleaning up plants that need to be taken indoors; putting plants, the umbrella and some chairs indoors; tidying up. The roof is cold in the winter, so it is still cool, but not as cool as it is in the other seasons when it is hot up there.
I can't decide whether or not I should take the passion flower in. I don't want any more plants that I have to fuss with, so I think I'll take the Spartan approach with it (as I do with much else) and leave it out for the winter and not expect it to come back next spring. If it does come back next spring, it'll be a bonus and I'll celebrate the return of the prodigal plant.
It is wonderful to spend some concentrated time outside on the roof of thisCastle before the rains come, and I want only to stay indoors and eat soup.
In thisCastle we have wifi. Everyone who lives here has a computer (at least one), and we rarely come out of our personal spaces, so we only see one another when we come out to feed.
